AI Usage Policy
The Journal of Management Economics and Financial Accounting (JOMEFA) recognizes the growing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in academic research and writing. JOMEFA allows the use of AI-assisted technologies, provided that such use complies with ethical standards and does not compromise the integrity, originality, and transparency of scholarly work.
1. Permitted Use of AI
Authors may use AI tools to support:
- Language editing and grammar improvement
- Structuring and formatting of manuscripts
- Data analysis assistance (with proper validation)
- Idea exploration and research support
All use of AI must be conducted responsibly and under the full supervision of the authors.
2. Author Responsibility
Authors remain fully responsible for:
- The accuracy, validity, and originality of the content
- Ensuring that AI-generated content does not contain errors, bias, or plagiarism
- Verifying all facts, data, citations, and interpretations
AI tools cannot be listed as authors under any circumstances.
3. Disclosure Requirement
Authors must clearly disclose the use of AI tools in their manuscript. The disclosure should include:
- The name of the AI tool used
- The purpose of its use
This information should be stated in the Acknowledgments section or a dedicated note in the manuscript.
4. Prohibited Use
The following uses of AI are not allowed:
- Generating full manuscripts without significant human contribution
- Fabricating data, results, or references
- Using AI in ways that violate academic integrity and ethical standards
- Submitting AI-generated content without disclosure
5. Editorial and Review Policy
Editors and reviewers may use AI tools only for limited support purposes (e.g., language checking) and must ensure:
- Confidentiality of the manuscript is maintained
- No manuscript content is uploaded to public AI systems that may store or reuse the data
6. Ethical Compliance
Any misuse of AI that leads to ethical violations may result in:
- Rejection of the manuscript
- Retraction of published articles
- Notification to affiliated institutions (if necessary)
