Publication Ethics
The Journal of Management Economics and Financial Accounting (JOMEFA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. All parties involved in the publication process—editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to ethical principles based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Editorial Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for:
- Making publication decisions based on the manuscript’s quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope
- Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential review process
- Evaluating manuscripts without discrimination based on personal or institutional background
- Maintaining confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts
- Avoiding the use of unpublished materials for personal research
2. Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript under review
- Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors
- Inform the editor of any similarities or overlaps with other works
- Decline review if there is any conflict of interest
3. Author Responsibilities
Authors must:
- Submit original work that has not been published or is not under consideration elsewhere
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the research data and findings
- Properly cite all sources and acknowledge contributions of others
- Include only individuals who have made significant contributions as authors
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest
- Notify the editor promptly if significant errors are found after publication
4. Ethical Compliance
All manuscripts must adhere to ethical research standards. Any form of unethical behavior, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate authorship, is strictly prohibited.
5. Publisher Responsibilities
The publisher supports the editorial team in maintaining ethical standards and ensures that commercial considerations do not influence editorial decisions.
