Perancangan Sistem Informasi Reservasi dan Manajemen Kos-Kosan Berbasis Website Dengan Metode Agile

(Studi Kasus: Kos Buaya Salemba Tengah Jakarta Pusat)

Abstract

The growth of digital services has encouraged temporary housing businesses such as boarding houses to provide more integrated reservation and operational management services. Kos Buaya Salemba Tengah, Jakarta Pusat, manages approximately 44 rooms spread across four floors and previously handled room reservations, tenant records, room information, and payments manually, resulting in delayed information, recording errors, and difficulties in monitoring the property at that scale. This study aims to design a web-based information system that integrates online reservations, room availability, tenant management, payment management, survey scheduling, and facility damage reporting. The study employed a descriptive qualitative and software engineering approach using Agile with the Scrum framework. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with the boarding house owner, and literature review, while functional validation was conducted using Black Box Testing. The resulting system provides online reservation services and centralized operational management covering all 44 rooms. Functional testing spanned 15 feature groups with 67 test cases, all of which were successfully executed, resulting in a 100% functional success rate. The system addresses limitations of the previous manual process by centralizing operational data and providing more structured room availability information across the property's four floors. The findings indicate that an integrated web-based system can support more efficient reservation and boarding house management at this scale.
